Goals and Accountability

One of my new goals is to write more. I want to write something everyday, and today I decided that a blog post was in order. My blog has been sadly neglected.

I’ve had so many different goals swirling around in my head that it’s hard to keep track, therefore, I’ve decided to use my blog as a place to put them all in order and hold myself accountable. Also, anyone reading can feel more than free to keep me accountable too! 😉

Since I love lists, I’ll start with one of those:

  • Write once a day
  • Keep the house clean
  • Work on budgeting
  • Eat better
  • Get rid of physical and mental clutter
  • Work on money making projects
  • Meet goals with Gabriel

My plan is to write a blog post for each of these (except the writing goal, that’s this post) to get my plan/ideas straight and maybe get some feedback, tips, and/or advice. This way I’ll have opportunities to meet my daily writing goal and get my thoughts and goals in order! We’ll see if it works. 🙂

So, my writing goal is pretty simple. It doesn’t have to be a blog post it just has to be something more substantial than, say, a grocery list. 😛 So far the options I’ve come up with are blog posts, journaling, and what I’m calling creative writing. I realize that technically blog posts could fall into the category of ‘creative’, but I’m using it to refer specifically to fictional stories.

The only thing I haven’t figured out yet is how to update the blog on my progress. Come back and edit the original posts, or write brand new ones? I’ll have to think about it. My ultimate goal is to capture all the different thoughts flying around and put them in an orderly line on paper, so as long as that’s accomplished I’ll have made progress I guess.

Here’s to conquering goals!
